WITH SUCH DETAIL, by JOHN ROBERT QUINN First Line: The mind with such minute detail Last Line: Talking with brother jim. Subject(s): Fish & Fishing | ||||||||
The mind with such minute detail Can summon back the past; One half forgets that time grows pale And living does not last. So vividly I walked today Beside a certain stream, I could not send the waves away, Nor waken them from dream. I walked a minted mile or more Along the water's rim, Fishing for fish I'd caught before, Talking with Brother Jim. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...JOURNEY INTO THE EYE by DAVID LEHMAN THE GREAT BLACK HERON by DENISE LEVERTOV ISLA MUJERES by WILLIAM MATTHEWS SCHOOLS OF LITTLE FISH by MARVIN BELL TWO PICTURES OF A LEAF by MARVIN BELL OF FISH AND FISHERMEN by JOHN CIARDI |
