MUTINY, by
First Line: The night was stilled, the shadows filled
Last Line: A-rockin' like a rocker.
Subject(s): Mutiny; Night; Sailing & Sailors; Bedtime

The night was stilled, the shadows filled
With ghostly, threatnin' ruins;
The decks a-vamped, the cabins stamped,
With print o' evil doin's.

An' sure it be, your eyes 'ud see,
The crew in bloody battle;
A-sticking knives in human lives,
Like a butcher slaughtering cattle.

But down the hatch you clearly catch,
A glimpse o' Davey's locker;
No moment dull, with the sinkin' hull
A-rockin' like a rocker.
