There's a stir of life beneath the sod; The brown earth yields and breaks apart, Revealing the story of resurrection-God Deep from the little bulb's pulsing heart. A sheath of green from the cold, dark earth Bursts the bonds of sleep we each shall know By His plan; but with the joy of the rebirth, Narcissus blooms again -- is blessed to grow. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...KILLING THE PLANTS by JANE KENYON NOW I AM A PLANT, A WEED by KATHERINE MANSFIELD TANKA DIARY (5) by HARRYETTE MULLEN THREE NATURE POEMS: MAGNOLIA TREE by EVA HINTON ROBINSON |
