THE GREAT DIVIDE, by                     Poet's Biography
First Line: When I drift out on the silver sea
Last Line: When I drift out on the silver sea.
Subject(s): Night; Sea; Bedtime; Ocean

WHEN I drift out on the Silver sea,
O may it be
A blue night
With a white moon
And a sprinkling of stars in the cedar-tree;
And the silence of God,
And the low call
Of a lone bird,—
When I drift out on the Silver Sea.
