What go wid all de flies I kill?
Dey ain't upon de flo',
I flips and flops de flapper fan
But can't see whar dey go.

I knows I kills 'em wid dat lick
Dey bound not to escape,
I flips and flops de flapper fan
Until my po' arms ache.

My misus she get so upsot
To see 'em flyin' roun',
She make me flip de flapper fan
Clean till de sun go down.

I tells you whut, sho' as you born
Dese flies am like a cat,
Dey flips and flops wid seven lives
Den come back whar dey at.

I doesn't like vacation days
I finds de town de best.
Dese country flies hab hateful ways
Gib me de home fo' rest.

Fo' when out here I goes to bed
So tired my po' eyes weep.
I flips and flops de whole night long
Wid out a wink of sleep.
