CRYSTAL HIGHWAY, by ALICE HANSCHE SORENSON First Line: The storm has spent its fury Last Line: From the finger tips of god! Subject(s): God; Knees; Prayer; Religion; Theology | ||||||||
The storm has spent its fury, And the dawn king in its place Reveals a world of splendor, In a sheath of silver lace. And with minutest detail, Each tree-top far and near, Is set with sunbeams, dancing Through a crystal chandelier, And every modest fir tree Seems kneeling on the ground, Beneath the bending beauty Of an iridescent gown! And all along the winding way, Our gleaming road is shod With bits of diamonds, falling From the finger tips of God! | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...MYSTIC BOUNCE by TERRANCE HAYES MATHEMATICS CONSIDERED AS A VICE by ANTHONY HECHT UNHOLY SONNET 11 by MARK JARMAN SHINE, PERISHING REPUBLIC by ROBINSON JEFFERS THE COMING OF THE PLAGUE by WELDON KEES A LITHUANIAN ELEGY by ROBERT KELLY O WIND!
