BLACK TREES ON A MISTY DAY, by
First Line: Black trees on a misty day
Last Line: Stamp me with impending night.
Subject(s): Absence; Separation; Isolation

Black trees on a misty day,
Loneliness of heart,
Sadness for my love's long way
Sorrows that will not depart,

Flocks of dark birds flying low,
Bowed grass, and graying light,
Make my spirit cold as snow,
Stamp me with impending night.
