THE STAR OF FREE WILL: 7, by MARIA LUISA SPAZIANI Poet's Biography First Line: I shall find in paradise that emaciated rose shoot | ||||||||
I shall find in paradise that emaciated rose shoot that bloomed at Mathausen behind barrack fourteen. All things capable of enduring will look like that shoot, all things miraculous, innocent, stubborn and shining. I shall find in paradise your patience and my own. Out of them, we'll make a collage with our missed rendezvous, and sailboats run aground, and the shreds of science, with flags soaked in tears, insisting on waving.
