DIVINE ADVENTURE, by DOROTHY SPROULE First Line: Unmoored and free my ships go out Last Line: A crown linked to a cross. Subject(s): Travel; Journeys; Trips | ||||||||
Unmoored and free my ships go out, Spreading their smooth white sails; Their names are Hope and Faith and Love; They glide with singing gales. These gallant ships that sail away, Will they come back to me? I stand and watch, from day to day, By life's tempestuous sea. But only one, storm-bent and torn, To recompense my loss Came bearing precious cargo -- A Crown linked to a Cross. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...RICHARD, WHAT'S THAT NOISE? by RICHARD HOWARD LOOKING FOR THE GULF MOTEL by RICHARD BLANCO RIVERS INTO SEAS by LYNDA HULL DESTINATIONS by JOSEPHINE JACOBSEN THE ONE WHO WAS DIFFERENT by RANDALL JARRELL THE CONFESSION OF ST.
