EVENING, by
First Line: I see the sun
Last Line: Alone, without you.
Subject(s): Absence; Solitude; Separation; Isolation; Loneliness

I see the sun,
Going to rest,
Apart from each gorgeous hue;
I see the moon, then,
Straying alone,
Up in the ethereal blue;
I see the star-light,
Coming down
To caress the sparkling dew—
And then I feel
So very sad,
Alone, without you.
