SPRING-SONG, by ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON Poet Analysis Poet's Biography First Line: The air was full of sun and birds Last Line: A mere affair of weather? Alternate Author Name(s): Stevenson, Robert Lewis Balfour Subject(s): Spring | ||||||||
The air was full of sun and birds, The fresh air sparkled clearly. Remembrance wakened in my heart And I knew I loved her dearly. The fallows and the leafless trees And all my spirit tingled. My earliest thought of love, and spring's First puff of perfume mingled. In my still heart, the thoughts awoke Came bone by bone together -- Say, birds and sun and spring, is love A mere affair of weather? | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...SPRING LEMONADE by TONY HOAGLAND A SPRING SONG by LYMAN WHITNEY ALLEN SPRING'S RETURN by GEORGE LAWRENCE ANDREWS ODE TO SPRING by ANNA LETITIA BARBAULD ODE TO SPRING by ANNA LETITIA BARBAULD SPRING FLOODS by MAURICE BARING SPRING IN WINTER by CHARLOTTE FISKE BATES SPRING ON THE PRAIRIE by HERBERT BATES THE FARMER'S BOY: SPRING by ROBERT BLOOMFIELD A GOOD PLAY by ROBERT LOUIS STEVENSON |
