WHISPERINGS OF SPRING, by JESSIE BELL THABES First Line: Skies unrifted / paths high-drifted Last Line: Whisperings of spring. Subject(s): Spring | ||||||||
Skies unrifted Paths high-drifted But whisperings I hear Snow is falling, falling, falling But I hear a calling, calling, "Spring, your Spring is near." Winds are blowing Snowing, snowing But my heart can hear Whispering, whispering, hush your grieving, Faith's believing and receiving Spring, glad Spring is near. Clouds are lifting, Skies are rifting, Sing, my heart, O sing, Winsome voices softly calling Through the snow still gently falling Whisperings of Spring. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...SPRING LEMONADE by TONY HOAGLAND A SPRING SONG by LYMAN WHITNEY ALLEN SPRING'S RETURN by GEORGE LAWRENCE ANDREWS ODE TO SPRING by ANNA LETITIA BARBAULD ODE TO SPRING by ANNA LETITIA BARBAULD SPRING FLOODS by MAURICE BARING SPRING IN WINTER by CHARLOTTE FISKE BATES SPRING ON THE PRAIRIE by HERBERT BATES THE FARMER'S BOY: SPRING by ROBERT BLOOMFIELD GOOD COMPANY by KARLE WILSON BAKER THE ROMANCE OF THE SWAN'S NEST by ELIZABETH BARRETT BROWNING |
