O Prince of Peace, who came to bless,
And chose the humble, not the brave;
Look down in love and tenderness
Where bombs are hurled and war flags wave.
O Prince of Peace, who raised the dead
And healed the sick and pardoned sin,
Leave not Thy world uncomforted
But let Thy spirit enter in.
O Prince of Peace, whose earth life taught
How best Thy kingdom may be won,
Forgive us all the pain we wrought,
Forgive us all that we have done.
