THE IMAGE, by                 Poet's Biography
First Line: If I be like my god, my king
Last Line: Like me to lie.
Subject(s): Creation; Mankind; Human Race

If I be like my God, my King
(Tho not a cherubim),
I will not care,
Since all my powers derived are
From none but Him.
The best of images shall I
Comprised in me see;
For I can spy
All angels in the Deity
Like me to lie.
