IN MEMORY, by
First Line: My work is finished that
Last Line: For her presence here.
Subject(s): Absence; Separation; Isolation

"My work is finished that
Thou gavest me to do."
She has lived her life of beauty,
Now her tasks on earth are through.

She is gone. How we shall miss her!
How we find our lives bereft!
'Tis not she that we would grieve for
But the empty place she left.

She is gone; but she's still with us.
In our hearts we hold her dear,
Our lives are fuller, gentler, nobler
For her presence here.
