A BOY'S SUPERIORITY, by                 Poet's Biography
First Line: The waves flow in, the waves flow out
Last Line: It's beaten by a boy!
Subject(s): Boys

The waves flow in, the waves flow out,
They rise, and then they fall;
But I may always go ahead,
And never back at all.

The orchard is an empty thing
When winter crisps the air;
But there are golden fruits that I
May always gladly bear.

The skies are sometimes bright with sun,
And sometimes bright with rain;
But in my heart the sun may shine
And clouds attack in vain.

The world is very wonderful,
And full of bubbling joy;
But in a few important points
It's beaten by a boy!
