SONG OF SOLOMON JONES, by
First Line: My love is like a milk-white mare
Last Line: Where I was, here I am.
Subject(s): Animals; Fish & Fishing; Horses; Love

My love is like a milk-white mare --
Beside my cheek her head --
But when I gripped her mane to mount
She tossed her neck and fled.

My love is like a silver fish
That slipped through reeds and swam:
There, by that weed, is where she was.
Where I was, here I am.
