WINTER WITCHERY, by
First Line: Celestial art / etching of leaves in winter dress
Last Line: Upon my window-pane.
Subject(s): Winter

Celestial art --
Etchings of leaves in winter dress;
Encampment of wildered boughs
Of unimpassioned white.

Chaste blazonry --
Diamonds strung on frail threads of light,
Firm-fixed, yet they seem to sway
Beneath the sun's caress.

God's ephemeral
Alchemy -- an icy flame
Creates white witchery
Upon my window-pane.
