DECEMBER, by
First Line: Before the old, old year can go
Last Line: What if december's last—it's best of all!
Subject(s): Children; Christmas; December; Gifts & Giving; Santa Claus; Childhood; Nativity, The; Nicholas, Saint

BEFORE the old, old year can go,
Before the new year's wind can blow
The merriest time of all must come,
Of Santa Claus and doll and drum,
And Christmas greens and fir trees tall—
What if December's last—it's best of all!
