1

The rebbe went dancing
& lost all he had
When his hasidim found it
he gave them a sign
Then he took it all back

2

The rebbe was a good old boy
when he drank a toast
all his hasidim used to fight
to catch the droppings

3

When the rebbe dances
the walls dance with him
the hasidim clap hands
They clap hands when the rebbe dances

4

The rebbe sits & sweats
& the shekinah hovers over him
Then the hasidim sing & dance & jump
They love the way the rebbe looks

5

days of messiah
king the rebbe
eldest
wears his hair long
like a hermit
sweet bread buns
grow on the trees
with corn cob pipes
for branches
& tobacco leaves
hasidim can light up on
not in prayer huts
made of clay brick
but built with
stews & noodle puddings
whiskey fountains
in the rebbe's kitchen
Nebukhadnezzar
come himself from Babylon
into Yerushelayim
crying to the rebbe
life life
all that they drink is life
