MAIS OU EST LE PREUX CHARLEMAGNE?, by
First Line: "old pride and consequence, where lodge they now?"
Last Line: "one home, oblivion, in the pit they share"

OLD pride and consequence, where lodge they now?
Where's the great Lydian Croesus? Xerxes where,
Whose yoke constrained the stiff-necked Hellespont?
One home, oblivion, in the pit they share.
