Happy Puss, indulg'd to sip
Balmy sweets from Mira's lip!
On her lap indulg'd to sit;
From her hand indulg'd to eat,
Tea to drink from Mira's dish,
Cream'd and sugar'd to thy wish!
Thou alone hast pow'r to charm,
Pow'r her frozen breast to warm;
Powder'd smarts, a num'rous train,
Ogle, cringe and sigh, in vain,
One indulgent smile to gain:
Spite of ogles, cringes, sighs,
Tho admires, admiring dies.
