THE BABY'S CHARMS, by
First Line: "lullaby, child of the madonna"
Last Line: Thou mayst be a buckler of st. Mark

Lullaby, child of the Madonna,
Lullaby, my little soul, I am here to watch over thee.
Lullaby, pine cone of thy grandmother,
And of thy grandfather fair ruddy apple.
Best hope of thy dear father,
My jessamine, my beautiful lily!
Lullaby, dear little heart, now, so that in time to come
Thou mayst be a buckler of St. Mark.
