To know the magic spell of skies and sands As oblique rays of evening's sinking sun Reach out to paint the drifting clouds, each one In radiant colors, while crystal sands Stretch out toward the sea like pale white hands. The iridescent waters leaping run As if to catch the disappearing sun, Slipping below the earth to distant lands.
