ORIENT by ARMANDE ALICE FAIR

First Line: WHITE BUTTERFLIES FLITTING ACROSS THE FACE
Last Line: IN A GAUZE OF OPAL LURE.
Subject(s): ASIA; BUTTERFLIES; INSECTS; MOON; STARS; FAR EAST; EAST ASIA; ORIENT; BUGS;

White butterflies flitting across the face
Of a pallid moon. Worlds beneath
A satin water-lily bares her breast,
Upon the surface of a fire-fly pool.
Wistaria, with slender finger-tip caresses and soothes.
A golden star suspended in mid-air.
And Orient has clasped thy soul
In a gauze of opal lure.
