LOVE'S CONSCIENCE IN PRAYER by GERTRUDE FRENCH

First Line: HORIZON MELTS TO DARKNESS COLD
Last Line: TO FINISH ENDLESS MILES.
Subject(s): LIFE; LOVE; PRAYER;

Horizon melts to darkness cold—
Death greets another day;
On weary knees with quivering lips,
A bleeding heart doth pray.

Ascending words form your dear name—
Bathed long with briny tears;
The lips which melted into yours
Shall pray through coming years.

They'll pray for courage and a dawn
To bear a wreath of smiles,
That will ornately crown a fear
To finish endless miles.
