ODE ON THE DEATH OF HAIG'S HORSE: 2 by DOUGLAS GARMAN

First Line: WHERE SHALL WE RAISE THE STATUE THEY DEMAND?
Last Line: RECOGNISE THE WORK THEIR FANCY PLANNED.
Subject(s): HAIG, DOUGLAS. 1ST EARL HAIG (1861-1928); TENNYSON, ALFRED (1809-1892); TENNYSON, ALFRED TENNYSON, 1ST BARON;

Where shall we raise the statue they demand?
One in every home throughout the land.
Only thus shall all who saw him,
All who wrote long letters for him,
Recognise the work their fancy planned.
