ALICE WINTER by GARNET DAVY GROSSE

First Line: ALICE AMES WUZ NEVER SO SKEERED O' MISTAKES
Last Line: AN' US WIMMIN APPROVE UV IT ALL.
Subject(s): HEROINES;

Alice Ames wuz never so skeered o' mistakes
That she couldn't do nothin' at all;
She criticized Congrus fer makin' small brakes
'Cause it hadn't done nothin' at all.

She'd talk of a vision she had in her heart
'Bout peace of nations through cinematic art;
As pres'dent, she wuz most uncommonly smart --
But she hadn't got started at all.

Fer she is the pride of all clubdom today
Though she's gone to workin', and's now drawin' pay --
Gittin' @3World Peace@1 writ down in the new code -- someway --
An' us wimmin approve uv it all.
