LONE CHILDER by AGNES ITA HANRAHAN

First Line: WHEN THE WIND WAS SOFT SOBBIN' THE NIGHT
Last Line: FOR TO HUSH WHERE LONE CHILDER HAD DIED!
Subject(s): DEATH - CHILDREN; SOLITUDE; DEATH - BABIES; LONELINESS;

When the wind was soft sobbin' the night
'Twas for sorra I'm thinkin' it sighed—
Maybe tellin' some wandh'rin' wee gust
For to hush where lone childer had died!
