I LIVE A PRAYER by ETHELYN MILLER HARTWICH

First Line: WITH HUMAN LOVE
Last Line: THIS IS MY PRAYER.
Subject(s): DEATH - CHILDREN; LOVE; PRAYER; DEATH - BABIES;

With human love
I mourn my child—her sunny days
So brief in joy. Eternal ways
Her feet have met. But, though I mourn,
Abiding Love surrounds me, born
In faith that waits the crystal dawn
Of hope confirmed—a deeper-drawn
Diviner love.

I live a prayer
That when I part the veil between,
And measure values now unseen,
My spirit's stature—equal grown
With hers—may share what each has known—
Eternal truths each soul must learn,
On earth or elsewhere, to discern.
This is my prayer.
