LOVING VAGABONDS by NORA BYRNES HEGI

First Line: HE PLAYED WILD AIRS ON HIS GUITAR
Last Line: LIFE HOLDS FOR HIM NO CHARMS.
Subject(s): WANDERING & WANDERERS; WANDERLUST; VAGABONDS; TRAMPS; HOBOES;

He played wild airs on his guitar.
She danced away the hours,
It mattered not to them how far
In light years was the evening star:
Their language was of flowers.

They roved along where lilies bowed,
Where trees held out their arms;
Eternal silver lined their cloud --
And then it came, with grief endowed --
Life holds for him no charms.
