PHANTASUS: 7, 3 by ARNO HOLZ

First Line: IN THE RUDDY FOREST OF FIXED STARS THAT BLEED TO DEATH
Last Line: SHIMMERING, GROW NEW WORLDS—TRILLIONS OF CROCUSES!

In the ruddy forest of fixed stars that bleed to death
I whip my winged horse.

Forward!

Beyond tattered planetary systems, beyond frozen primeval suns,
beyond the wastes of night and nothingness,
shimmering, grow New Worlds—trillions of crocuses!
