LAMENT FOR A VIOLIN by KEN HUGHES

First Line: THERE LIES MY BROKEN VIOLIN
Last Line: IT CANNOT FEEL.
Subject(s): LAMENT; TEARS;

There lies my broken violin
Fragrant with forgotten songs.
No more will it vibrate
With great loves and fancied tears.
In each fragment hide rhapsodies
Forever sealed.
Gone my violin; my soul is dead—
It cannot feel.
