A SAKI REFUSING TO DRINK WINE by IBN AL-TARAWA

First Line: THE GRAVE AND REVEREND DIVINE
Last Line: ARE SOMEWHAT LONGER IN THE TOOTH.

The grave and reverend divine
Accepts and drinks the cup of wine,
Ensued by all, like him, whose ways
And acts attract the highest praise.

Since our young camel vigour lacks,
His load is shouldered on the backs
Of sturdier workers who, forsooth,
Are somewhat longer in the tooth.
