A BLACK HORSE WITH A WHITE BREAST by IBN SA'ID OF ALCALA LA REAL

First Line: BLACKNESS BEHIND / BREAST FLASHING WHITE
Last Line: EPITOME.

Blackness behind,
Breast flashing white,
Borne on the wind,
Winged into flight.

Turn you your gaze:
Night is withdrawn:
Lo, he displays
Glorious dawn.

Shem's sons and Ham's,
Vainly reviled,
Peaceful as lambs
Stand reconciled.

All eyes are rapt
In him to see
Beauty's most apt
Epitome.
