AN IMAGINING by BURGES JOHNSON

First Line: TWO SISTERS THAT I NEVER SAW
Last Line: TWO LITTLE BABY GIRLS WITH WINGS.
Subject(s): CHILDREN; DEATH - CHILDREN; GRAVES; IMAGINATION; MOTHERS; CHILDHOOD; DEATH - BABIES; TOMBS; TOMBSTONES; FANCY;

Two sisters that I never saw
Are lying underneath the ground.
Sometimes my mother takes me there
And says that I may play around.

But while she sits so quietly,
I often have imaginings,
And see a-flying near her head
Two little baby girls with wings.
