APRIL by EDNA SWANSON KING

First Line: APRIL BOWS HER HEAD AND WEEPS
Last Line: THOUGH APRIL HE'S BEREAVING.
Subject(s): APRIL;

April bows her head and weeps,
Winter lies a-dying;
There's none else to vigil keep,
In pity April's crying.

April lifts her head and smiles,
Spring has come a-wooing;
Soon Miss April he beguiles,
Much to her undoing.

April's tears are flowing fast,
Fickle Spring's a-leaving,
Spied young May and hied away,
Though April he's bereaving.
