A MAN by MRS. VICTOR KIRK

First Line: IF I COULD ONLY BE THE MAN
Last Line: BRING OUT MY BEST, AND THEN SOME MORE.
Subject(s): BROTHERHOOD; MEN;

If I could only be the man
That my kid brother thinks I am,
I'd be a wonder, sure 'tis true,
I'd be a man full through and through.

I'd have the knowledge of the age,
I'd have the wisdom of a sage,
The skill and grace of every art,
With strength and worth deep in my heart.

Kid brother, now in faith to you
I'll have to strive my best to do;
To keep that faith and trust my aim,
And never bow thy head in shame.

Thanks, thanks to thee my brother small
For faith that trusts and asks my all;
A banner bright 'twill float before,
Bring out my best, and then some more.
