THE END OF THINKING by GORDON LECLAIRE

First Line: THE UNDULATING PLAINS OF CONSCIOUSNESS
Last Line: ALL ROADS OF MIND CONVERGE AT LENGTH IN GOD.
Subject(s): GOD;

The undulating plains of consciousness
Abound in network pathways, new and old,
Well-worn and freshly-blazed, as manifold
As myriad thoughts which over them progress
In nebulous profusion, and impress
Their own peculiar footprints on the mould
Of mind's acutely sensitive freehold,
To which each random concept has access.
Rugged or smooth, their winding ways direct
Toward the same destination of delight
Both winged feet and those that weary plod.
No matter what bypath we may select
It ultimately leads toward the same height --
All roads of mind converge at length in God.
