AS SEARCHLIGHTS FLARE by GRACE MINER LIPPINCOTT

First Line: THE SOUL OF A WOMAN SEEKING TRUTH
Last Line: AND HOLDS EACH SEARCHING BEAM.
Subject(s): LOVE;

The soul of a woman seeking truth
Holds love too deep for tears
For hours seem helpless and uncouth
While keeping count of years
That flew like homing-doves on high,
Transparent in their flight,
Again portrayed to amplify
Great love that pens indite.
As decades pass, the blazing trails
Of woman's love for man
Seem like Aurora's searching flails
That only mystics scan,
While youth and beauty keep their tryst,
Each act; a glowing scheme
Where love transcends the casuist
And holds each searching beam.
