CALM by GRACE MINER LIPPINCOTT

First Line: FROM OUT THE GREAT ETERNAL I REACH TO TAKE MY OWN
Last Line: THE WORLD IS A LITTLE BETTER BECAUSE I LIVE TODAY.
Subject(s): CALM; PLACID; UNDISTURBED; TRANQUILITY;

From out the great Eternal I reach to take my own,
The Atom that is only me I place upon a throne.
To the vast "Unknown" I raise my eyes,
I have no name or creed,
But in the hour of quiet thought
It fills my greatest need.
I can and I will is written in every luminous ray,
The world is a little better because I live today.
