SONG OF THE SAND DUNE by HANIEL (CLARK) LONG

Poet Analysis

First Line: COME, WILL YOU WORSHIP THE MOON WITH ME?
Last Line: OF THE CITY THAT COMES FROM THE OCEAN.

Come, will you worship the moon with me?
There are six of us now by the side of the sea;
But seven's the number there ought to be
When the City of Death is in motion.

Here by the side of the sea is a space
Where forms that are silent may gaze on her face;
May move to the music, may gather the grace
Of the City that comes from the ocean.
