THE DUTCH-CUT by ISABEL ECCLESTONE MACKAY

First Line: OH! IF I COULD ONLY HAVE
Last Line: CURLS AREN'T STYLISH ANY MORE!
Subject(s): CHILDREN; GIRLS; MOTHERS; CHILDHOOD;

OH! If @3I@1 could only have
Dutch-cut like the other girls!
Every time I ask for it
Mother says, "What! Spoil your curls?"

Then she wonders why I hide
In behind the parlour door,
She just simply won't believe
Curls aren't stylish any more!
