AU REVOIR by MARIE MACKLEY

First Line: GOODBYE, SUMMER
Last Line: WHEN YOU COME, HERALDED BY APRIL'S RAIN.
Subject(s): SUMMER;

Goodby, Summer.
I loved your smiling sun
And your heat, too,
And the white clouds floating
In a sea of blue.
I can't forget the stilly night
And the distant stars
Gleaming, cool, and white.
I loved you then,
As I shall again
When you come, heralded by April's rain.
