THE LYRE AND THE CROWN by MARCUS ARGENTARIUS

First Line: MY REVELRY IS THIS: TO SCAN
Last Line: HEAVEN HAS ITS LYRE AND CROWN.

MY revelry is this: to scan
The evening sky o'er head,
The golden dance of starry quires;
No human dance I tread.

My lyre rings music; on my brow
Rose-wreaths rain petals down;
So is my life to heaven attuned;
Heaven has its Lyre and Crown.
