MATERIALISM; SUGGESTED BY BUCHNER'S KRAFT AND STOFF by FREDERIC ROWLAND MARVIN

First Line: A FAITH THAT GRASPS THE OUTER SHELL
Last Line: WOULD WEIGH AND MEASURE PIPE AND LUTE.
Subject(s): MATERIALISM; SOUL;

A FAITH that grasps the outer shell,
But never seeks for hidden fruit;
And to explain the soul of song,
Would weigh and measure pipe and lute.
