WORSHIP by FREDERIC ROWLAND MARVIN

First Line: FORMS ARE DISSOLVING
Last Line: IS SHATTERED AT LAST.
Subject(s): WORSHIP;

FORMS are dissolving,
As shadows they fade;
Best is the worship
That seeks no reward;
Devout the petition
No answer attends;
More blessèd is God
Than the thing He bestows.
Seek not and strive not,
He waits at the door.
Changeless, enduring,
The spirit remains,
When the mould into fragments
Is shattered at last.
