TRAGEDIES: 4 by THEOPHILE JULIUS HENRY MARZIALS

First Line: AND I WAS A FULL-LEAVED, FULL-BOUGH'D TREE
Last Line: TRANQUIL, AND TREMBLING, AND DEEP IN THE NIGHT.
Subject(s): EYES; GRIEF; MOON; NIGHT; TREES; SORROW; SADNESS; BEDTIME;

And I was a full-leaved, full-bough'd tree,
Tranquil and trembling, and deep in the night,
And tall and still, down the garden-ways
She moved in the liquid calm moonlight.

Her moon-shot eyes, strain'd back with grief,
Her hands clench'd down, she pass'd from sight;
And I was a full-leaved, full-bough'd tree,
Tranquil, and trembling, and deep in the night.
