THE CLOISTER GARTH by CLYDE MCGEE

First Line: I LOVE THE QUIET OF THIS PLACE
Last Line: AND GIFTS OF WONDER, BEAUTY, AND OF PEACE.
Subject(s): HEALING; PEACE; SILENCE; CURES;

I love the quiet of this place,
Its cloistered stillness,
Its air of peace,
With overhanging oaks,
Like priests bestowing benedictions ...
The strength of quietness is here,
A sense of ancient and enduring things,
With healing for the hidden hurt,
And gifts of wonder, beauty, and of peace.
