The day arrives when suddenly you catch That first faint whiff of rising sap in spring; Your winter lethargy has taken wing At sight of some entrancing crocus patch; Your mind flies open; time has touched the latch, A daffodil has set your heart a-swing; Excitement thrills each eager growing thing; A robin thinks of eggs she wants to hatch.
